WHAT'S
YOUR BRA SIZE?
Did
you know that 80% of women wear bras that don’t fit
correctly, possibly because they have never been properly
measured for a bra?
At
Honeytrap Lingerie our personal service makes it easy for
us to determine your correct size. As experienced bra fitters,
we cannot stress the feel-good factor and importance of our
expert eye, but if you are unable to visit us personally,
then the following guidelines are compiled especially for
you.
Take
Your Own Measurement
Follow
this simple guide to measuring to make sure you have the right
size for you. In the event that you are unhappy with the way
your new bra fits you, we are happy to exchange or refund
it for you. When measuring, there are two measurements to
take, the back size and the cup size.
Your
back size is the measurement around your chest just below
your breasts. Using a tape measure, measure around your ribcage,
directly under your breasts. Do not include any breast tissue.
Your
cup size is the measurement around your chest, including the
fullest part of your bust. Do this without any clothing on.
Follow
the instructions below, to calculate your own bra size.
Add
either 4" or 5" to your back measurement, depending
on whether result is odd or even. If the measurement you get
is odd, add 5 to make it an even number. For example, if your
back size is 30 inches, you add 4 to get 34 inches, or, if
your back size is 29 inches, when you add 5 to this you get
34 inches. This is your back size.
Deduct
your original back measurement (before adding anything to
it) from your bust measurement. This will give you the difference
needed to calculate your bra size. So for example, if your
bust measurement was 34" and your back was 29" there
would be a 5" difference. This would give you a bra size
of 34DD. If the numbers are the same then you would be an
AA.
1in.
more gives Cup size A
2in. more gives Cup size B
3in. more gives Cup size C
4in. more gives Cup size D
5in. more gives Cup size DD
and so on through E, EE, FF and G
This
method is usually quite reliable, but is not guaranteed and
in no way replaces our expert eye from a personalised fitting.

Troubleshooting
1.
You find that your bra band is riding up your back.
Try a smaller back size and/or a bigger cup.
2.
You find that your breasts are slipping out the bottom of
the bra.
[Wired bra or non wire] Try a smaller back size.
3.
You feel the underwire is digging into your armpit and breast.
Try a bigger cup size.
4.
You find your bra straps are leaving indent marks on your
shoulders.
Try a smaller back size so that the band of the bra supports
your breasts.
5.
You find your straps slip off your shoulders.
Try a smaller back size.
6.
You find the wires between your breasts stand away from you.
Try one or two cup sizes bigger. [The wires should sit flat
against your body.]
